TG’s Child Care Achieves Unprecedented Excellence in Regional Wauchope – Hastings St Centre Awarded EXCEEDING Rating in All 7 NQS Areas Within 3 Months of Riverbreeze

This prestigious achievement places the centre in the top 10% of childcare providers across Australia, reinforcing TG’s Child Care’s commitment to excellence in policy implementation, child safety, and collaborative culture.

Wauchope, NSW – 4th February 2025 – In an extraordinary achievement for regional early childhood education, TG’s Child Care Hastings St has been awarded an EXCEEDING rating in all seven areas of the National Quality Standards (NQS), following in the footsteps of TG’s Child Care Riverbreeze, which achieved the same recognition just three months prior. This milestone is incredibly rare for two centres from the same organisation, particularly in a regional town like Wauchope, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to professionalism, excellence in education, and community engagement—surpassing even the standards seen in many metropolitan centres.

This dual recognition places TG’s Child Care among the top 10% of childcare providers across Australia, highlighting the organisation’s dedication to ensuring best practices, policy integrity, and outstanding care for children, families, and educators.

Setting New Standards in Regional Early Childhood Education

Unlike many urban-based services, TG’s Child Care has demonstrated that regional centres can exceed national standards through strategic leadership, a culture of continuous learning, and a well-established policy framework. TG’s success is deeply rooted in its commitment to excellence, with structured policies that ensure quality education, child safety, and operational efficiency across all seven of its centres.

“Our EXCEEDING rating in all seven areas of the NQS across two centres in such a short span is a testament to the dedication of our educators, leadership team, and families. This achievement shows that regional early childhood education can surpass even city-based centres in delivering world-class care and learning experiences,” said Laura Bull, Area Manager of TG’s Child Care.

Consistent Policy Implementation and Leadership

TG’s Child Care’s strength lies in its structured approach to policy development and execution. The organisation ensures all policies are consistently implemented across its centres, with key measures including:

  • Weekly Policy Review Meetings: A dedicated leadership team meets every Tuesday to assess, refine, and update policies, ensuring compliance with the latest industry standards.

  • Cross-Centre Collaboration: Educators from different TG’s locations engage in shared learning experiences, discussing challenges and best practices to enhance consistency across centres.

  • Comprehensive Induction and Training: All new educators undergo a structured onboarding process, aligning them with TG’s culture and operational excellence.

  • Continuous Compliance Monitoring: Regular internal audits and feedback loops ensure all centres not only meet but exceed the required regulatory expectations.

A Culture of Passion, Commitment, and Excellence

Beyond policies, TG’s Child Care fosters an organisational culture where educators are deeply passionate about their roles. The leadership team at TG’s encourages collaboration, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose among staff, resulting in a thriving workplace and an enriching environment for children.

“Our educators love what they do, and this passion drives our success. Achieving EXCEEDING ratings in all seven NQS areas is not just about meeting regulations—it’s about setting a higher standard of care and education that benefits every child, family, and educator in our community,” said Toni-Lee Paine, Centre Manager at TG’s Hastings St.

TG’s Child Care also maintains rigorous child safety standards, implementing best-practice measures in safe sleep, food allergy management, and emergency procedures, ensuring that every child’s wellbeing is prioritised.

A Legacy of Love, Learning, and Excellence

Reflecting on this achievement, Gayle Kee, General Manager of TG’s Child Care, shared the vision and journey that has led to this moment:

“Twenty-seven years ago, Trevor and I had a dream—to create a high-quality child care and early education service in a vibrant regional hub. At TG’s, we believe in more than just education. Our philosophy is about creating a beautiful natural learning environment and fostering a workplace culture where collaborative thinking, strong relationships, and the unique superpowers of our educators shine.
We laugh that it’s taken us 27 years to become an overnight success, but the truth is—it’s all thanks to our incredible Centre Managers, Leaders, and Educators. Their dedication, loyalty, and love make TG’s a truly special place for children and families in Wauchope.
Parents can rest easy knowing their child is in safe hands, receiving high-quality education and learning outcomes in a nurturing, inspiring environment.
Here’s to 27 years of love, laughter, and learning—thank you all for being part of our journey!”

Recognition and Future Commitment to Regional Excellence

With two EXCEEDING-rated centres within just three months and a third centre at Kirkwood St, Armidale preparing for assessment, TG’s Child Care continues to raise the bar for early childhood education in regional Australia.

“This achievement proves that regional centres are more than capable of leading the way in early childhood education. We are committed to maintaining our high standards, supporting our educators, and ensuring our children receive the very best start in life,” said Faye O’Neill, Centre Manager at TG’s Riverbreeze.

TG’s Child Care invites families, industry professionals, and community members to celebrate this incredible milestone and discover what makes TG’s a leader in quality early learning.
