TG's is with our children and families every step of the way.
The Australian government provides Child Care Subsidy for families to help with the cost of child care. At TG´s we are kept up-to-date with any latest changes to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) scheme.
We are looking at some uplifting news that can help support families. Here are the latest updates to the Child Care Subsidy scheme.
Higher CCS in March
From 7th March 2022, families with more than one child aged 5 or under in care will get a higher subsidy for their second child and younger children. The eldest CCS-eligible child aged 5 or under in the family will get the standard CCS rate, and the younger children will then get a higher subsidy. This will be a 30% higher subsidy, up to a maximum of 95%. If your children are eligible for the higher rate, they will have the increase automatically included in their CCS percentage reported to services.
To be eligible, families have to:
earn less than $354,305
have more than one child aged 5 or under in child care.
Support during COVID-19
The Australian government has regular updates on COVID-19 restrictions and how this may affect child care in states and territories.
Support is available to services and families who have been affected by COVID-19. Until 30th June 2022, services can waive the gap fee and receive Child Care Subsidy if a child is unable to attend care for the following reasons:
they, or a member of their immediate household, must isolate due to COVID-19
the service, or a room at the service, is closed due to COVID-19 on written advice from the state or territory government authority
The state or territory has restricted access to child care in a region due to COVID-19.

Further information
Families are given the support they need to give their children the best life possible, and TG´s Child Care is on hand to guide families to receive the support available.
"TG's has always been an integral part of young families, and we understand the struggles, challenges and needs of parents in our ever-changing modern world.
As the extended family and home away from home for so many of our families in our communities, TG's is here to help parents gain greater peace of mind in any way we can.
This extends to the practical and administrative side of caring for a family, and by helping families keep up-to-date with any relevant and important administrative issues, families can rest easy and know that if it is important, TG's is here to guide them through it." - Gayle Kee
Services Australia has put together a helpful guide to explain to families how the CCS works for different families and situations, and how to calculate your CCS percentage. Check out their information here.
