TG’s Child Care’s long-established philosophy of learning through play aligns with a forthcoming federal government review of Australia’s early learning framework that’s expected to endorse curriculums of play-based learning for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, instead of rote-based learning.
The review, using latest research on children’s brain development, will advocate the use of play for effective learning of language, cooperation, science and the fundamentals of numeracy, encouraging children to be active and hands-on; to explore and be curious.
“This is exactly our philosophy of learning for young children and it’s at the heart of everything we do,” says Gayle Kee, General Manager of TG’s Child Care.
“TG’s Child Care is a friendly, nurturing and educational environment and a fun place to be. It’s a family-friendly environment, embracing and celebrating cultural diversity and inclusivity, where all children and families feel welcome at all times in an environment that is rich in love, care and respect.
“TG’s Child Care is trusted by families as the stewardship of their children's future. With our high-quality early childhood practices and lifelong learning, children are ‘Playing it Forward’ from their very first day and onward into their futures.
“Children can reach their fullest potential when we build meaningful engagements and partnerships with our families and community. At TG’s Child Care, we’re making a positive and significant difference every single day.”
TG’s Child Care owners Trevor and Gayle Kee moved to Hervey Bay 12 months ago and love being residents in this beautiful location. Supported by many friendly and helpful local trades, they have refurbished the existing Urangan centre at 61 Miller St and given it a complete make-over.
Staffed by a team of qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic educators who love their work and are highly experienced in a thoughtfully created designed learning environment, the service also serves children nutritious meals throughout the day with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea seasonal menus and meals, all approved by Munch & Move and Good for Kids.
TG’s award-winning gardens and integrated play spaces are a key feature of the new Urangan service - a carefully designed environment with natural materials where children can play, learn, and thrive with dedicated educators in joyful experiences aimed at cultivating a lifelong love of learning to take them through primary, high school and beyond.
TG’s Child Care’s principle of providing communities with all-day quality child care is in line with the Australian Childcare Alliance – Queensland’s recent manifesto that affirmed in today’s climate, stressed families maintain their right to choose which early education and care service suits their needs for lifelong quality care and learning.
TG’s Child Care, with five other centres in New South Wales as well as its Urangan centre, is renowned for providing fun, happy, secure play and learning environments that develop young minds and foster children’s values, attitudes, skills and behaviours, to build beneficial relationships with communities and families.
TG’s Child Care Urangan is currently rated “Exceeding” in assessments by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), the independent national authority that assists governments in administering the National Quality Framework (NQF) for children’s education and care.
