TG’s Child Care Rated “Exceeding” in Key NSW Early Childhood Education and Care Assessment
TG’s Child Care campus in Armidale has been given top marks by the Australian Government NSW’s Early Childhood Education and Care Directorate in its recent assessment and rating.
The Queen Elizabeth Drive campus, which offers Pre-school and Long Day Care Services for youngsters aged six weeks to six years, went above and beyond required standards by being rated “Exceeding” in the National Quality Standard (NQS) inspection.
NQS sets a high national benchmark for early childhood education and care outside Australia’s school hours care services, with detailed assessments of seven quality areas essential to a child’s learning and development: educational programme & practice; children’s health & safety; physical environment; staffing arrangements; relationships with children; collaborative partnerships with families and communities; and governance & leadership.
To achieve the “Exceeding” rating, TG’s Child Care Armidale went beyond the NQS requirements in at least four of these seven quality areas – a strong endorsement of its leading role in the early learning sector, as well as recognition of the campus’s trusted reputation for families in the community.
In a summary of the assessment and rating, the NQS assessor commented: “Your service is commended on its achievements in providing quality outcomes for children.
“In particular, careful planning, reflective practice and willingness to collaborate with families and other community organisations to enhance children’s learning and well-being and the consistent critical reflection on all quality areas demonstrate the commitment to quality by educators at your service.”
Gayle Kee, general manager, TG’s Child Care & Preschool describes TG’s Child Care as the stewardship of children’s future: “Our business model is one of sustainability. We look at how we impact the environment, social aspects and economy of our locations. TG's fosters values, attitudes, skills and behaviours that support sustainable development. TG's children build eco-intelligence by learning how to care for their environment. Children also learn to appreciate our communities as a valuable source of sustainable business and economic support.”
“At TG's, children learn respect for each other and cultivate a love of learning that will take them through to primary, high school and beyond as valuable and reliable members of our community. We embrace diversity and equality, expanding the children's vision of Australia society and culture.”
“We’re delighted to gain this significant endorsement of our dedication and hard work to ensure that we fully embrace leadership in education and childcare, for the families and children of our community.”
“We know it can be difficult and daunting to choose a preschool for your child - we believe that our NQS ratings clearly demonstrate we offer families a valued and trusted community resource, reinforced with a love of learning, to provide a sound foundation for their children’s future.”
As one of Australia’s leading early learning Pre-school and Long Day Care providers, TG’s Child Care is dedicated to its philosophy of “Quality Lifelong Learning, where Playing is Learning for Life.” Children attending TG’s Child Care are encouraged to experience a love and joy of learning throughout their time there, and are equipped with skills and tools to continue their personal growth long after they’ve left. In addition to the Armidale campus, TG’s Child Care has three others in Wauchope, as well as another at Uralla and at Urangan in Queensland.
